Engine Dissassembly
In all seriousness I don't have a lot of material in regards to the engine work. I have zero from measurments unfortunately. But it was in bery good condition, seems like car really has 60k kilometers on in. The cylinders were still in nominal size and I've decided to leave them like this and only lightly hone them to create crosshatch for oil. I've also left piston rings which measured in tolerances. The usual stuff like bearings were replaced. I've also replaced oil pump with model from V6 engine which is drop in replacement and has bigger volume and slightly bigger pressure. Camshaft was re-ground to remove some wear patterns and lifters were scrapper and replaced with new ones.
Checking the endplay of balancer shaft - not too bad - fits in tolerance.
Of course not everything was peachy, here's the balancer shaft plug - epoxied in:
And someone using wrong Woorduff key caused timing gear to break during pulling it out from shaft:
Well you cannot have it all, it was later on replaced with aluminium one - which is sturdier and allows to add one more pulley to power AC compressor if I feel like putting AC in.
